-Eric Schmidt in recent New York Times article:


I have this fantasy that goes like this," he said at one point. "You are the C.E.O. of a large company, and I come to you and say, 'Give me $1 million and give me your Web site, and we will guarantee you will get $100 million in sales.' Which C.E.O. would turn that down?


Seems like too good of a deal to me...why not do it yourself, you have a fiduciary duty to maximize Google's profits.


-Is it widely known that AOL will not be getting the revenues from the Time Warner publications? Since the merger, AOL has booked the online ad revenue from the Time Warner magazines, but not anymore. Now the magazines will get the online revenues and have an incentive to build out their online presence.
