Seems like too good of a deal to me...why not do it yourself, you have a fiduciary duty to maximize Google's profits.

Since the merger, AOL has booked the online ad revenue from the Time Warner magazines, but not anymore. Now the magazines will get the online revenues and have an incentive to build out their online presence.
