Free Event: 'Central Market Now' - Connecting Art & Tech In SF

CentralNow

Central Market NOW is organizing an event whose aim is to connect the art and tech communities through performances and installations — it’s a message of integration.

Friday January 24, 5pm — 8pm at KUNST-STOFF Arts, 1 Grove Street, SF.

It’s downtown in a down town of a neighborhood — one of SF’s poorest. Get down with the local artists and musicians. Free food and drinks (to make tech workers feel at home :))

Central Market NOW is a collective of organizations, businesses and individuals whose aim is to strengthen the community through art and culture by celebrating with monthly events.

Central Market NOW is inspired by the success of 24 days of Central Market Arts, a public art festival that happened in 2010-2012 (centralmarketarts.org). We are beginning the process of re-envisioning the programming to make it more of an ongoing, community-driven endeavor. The project is currently being managed through SAFEhouse for the Performing Arts, (Saving Art From Extinction), a non-profit arts presenting organization, specializing in incubating new performing art through residencies, workshops, and performances.
