Survey Shows Firms Looking To Switch From MSFT, ADBE...

A survey commissioned by Global Graphics found that one in four firms of 1,000 employees and more, are looking at free software to replace Microsoft applications.

And about 40 percent of those firms are looking for software to replace Adobe.

The survey questioned 300 CIOs in the US, and 100 CIOs in the UK. Tight IT budgets were the main reason for the switch.

I'm surprised that there are this many firms looking to switch. But Microsoft and Adobe licenses are quite expensive and not everyone in the company needs access to those applications.
