Corporate Social Responsibility Is A Competitive Advantage
By Tom Foremski - October 19, 2007
Today the competition for top people is intense. Money is a motivator but it is a common commodity. What else can you offer?
A social mission is becoming an essential component for any business. We spend more time at work, we are often never not at work. We get pizza when we work late but how do companies satisfy their people's hunger to do good things in the world?
With all things equal, people will choose to work for companies that have a social mission as part of their mission statement. Google, Salesforce and others, are early examples of this trend.
Friday I am moderating a panel on these topics, maybe I'll see you there.
