MasUp Camp: Plaxo's FaceBook?

By Tom Foremski - July 24, 2007 &uot

I was at MashUp Camp recently and ran into Plaxo, the online contacts startup. The company demonstrated Pulse, which seems very similar to FaceBook.

Foremski's Take: Every "Web 2.0" company has to do their own version of FaceBook otherwise they risk being replaced by FaceBook. Are you a widget or are you a business?

Hey it's really cool to see all these online communities popping up like mushrooms all over cyberspace. I am a big fan of the zYB service which is quite similar to plaxo, mobical, mobyko, etc. I have also read on their blog: http://blog.zyb.com/ that they will be coming up with a social network pretty soon as well and the pics look amazing, can't wait to try it out
