Application aware networking... rather than having loads of servers dedicated to separate functions/department/applications which is inefficient both from a power consumption perspective, and also because at any one moment you'll have loads of computer power sitting there un-used. However, if you have the network assign tasks and applications to the most available server, you are using your IT gear more effectively, using few servers, and as a happy side-effect, saving power. :-)
